Rapid Electrodeposition and Corrosion Behavior of Zn Coating from a Designed Deep Eutectic Solvent

چکیده

This work aimed to develop a new type of deep eutectic solvent containing high concentrations zinc ions as an electrolyte improve the electrodeposition rate for plating. Two typical systems, choline chloride (ChCl)–urea and ChCl–ethylene glycol (EG), were combined prepare stable at room temperature with ion concentration up 2 M. Cyclic voltammetry experiments different temperatures conducted. The effects key parameters (bath current density) on morphology, structure, corrosion resistance coatings deposited mild steel investigated. It was found that crystal orientation as-deposited particle is related density. experimental results show coating 60 °C density 4 mA·cm?2 exhibited most compact crack-free thus had optimum property.
